Sheffield Half Marathon 2016
The Plusnet Yorkshire Half (The Sheffield Half) is definitely one of the toughest in the country. However, with the sublime views from Ringinglow Road and Sheephill Road it must also be one of the prettiest, especially on a gloriously still sunny morning! It was great to see 18 Taylored Running Group members out in force and the level of support along the route was amazing, especially at the Norfolk Arms, throughout Dore and along Ecclesall Road. Thank you to all who supported us.
First across the finish line was John Franklin in a time of 70mins 24secs. Dave Archer took second place in 70mins 50secs with Robert Ton third in 71mins 16secs. Zanthe Wray was the first woman home in 83mins 12secs followed by Jenny Evans who clocked 85mins 42secs for second spot and Kate Hastings took third in 86mins 49secs.
5948 runners finished the event, of which 18 were Taylored Running Group. Well done to everyone who ran.
