What is Personal Training?

I’ll come to you when and where it’s convenient for you and together we’ll make sure your regular exercise is safe, fun, and effective. I’ll help you to remain focussed and motivated leaving you feeling great!

Will I enjoy it?

Yes, exercise can be fun and enjoyable when done properly. Most importantly, however, the help of a personal trainer will mean you stay focussed and exercise efficiently and regularly

What will I achieve?

We’ll discuss what you would like to achieve and we’ll work together to make sure you get there. My clients normally would like to lose weight, get fit, feel generally healthier, and become more toned.

But I have a busy life!

I’ll meet with you at a time and location that is convenient for you. The personal training sessions can fit around childcare, work, family life, etc. and can be wherever you would like – maybe at your house or local park, for example

I’ve tried getting fit before but lost motivation!

The most important thing a Personal Trainer brings is motivation and discipline. It’s not easy to exercise regularly for most of us but it becomes a whole lot easier with a fitness professional on your side helping you along the way.

Will I be with anyone else?

No, unless you would like to exercise with friends, your personal training sessions will be fully private – just you and me

I have always enjoyed running, but after having 3 children, I got out of the habit of running regularly and definitely found myself less fit than I had been pre-children! I had started going to Adam’s running club on a Monday evening and really enjoyed it and then was motivated to try and start improving my times after completing a park run. I had seen the success of some of Adam’s other clients, so I reached out to Adam to organise some personal training.

I guess my main reservation was whether I was really going to see massive improvements by doing the personal training. For many years I had only ever run at the same steady pace, I had never really improved my times significantly, so I wasn’t sure how much progress I would make in 3 months.

Working with Adam has been great. Adam has a great way of encouraging people and pushing you to go that extra mile. The key to the success was the combination of the training and the eating plan that Adam put together for me. I enjoyed the variety of training, such as long runs, interval sessions, hill training and how could I forget the 5 min planks!! Adam kept in touch regularly asking how my week was going and answering any questions I had. It was a great experience and I would highly recommend Adam.

I have so many things I am proud of having worked with Adam. My top three are that I ran a sub 25min 5k; I knocked 8 minutes off my 10k time and I got back into a dress I hadn’t worn for many years!

The decision to email Adam and commit to the platinum personal training programme is right up there with the best decisions I have ever made. Adams knowledge has taught me to understand the science behind fat loss, and he has been able to get me out of the weight watchers mentality that I had been clinging to for so long. I have written down every meal, snack and drink that I have eaten/drank since I started this journey and I find the food diary chart a really helpful tool in keeping me on track and sticking to the strategy that Adam set out for me has really worked. I am a really big fan of cooking and receiving a recipe book of “Adam Approved” clean eating recipes was a highlight for me. I have learnt portion control, what to put together on a plate to be fully satisfied, never hungry and super healthy and my attitude towards exercise has gone from being coach potato to fitness enthusiast.

I genuinely feel that this process has been an education that will stick with me for the rest of my life.

Results to date include over 50lbs weight loss, 6 inches off my hips, 7 inches off my waist and almost 15% body fat reduction, turning me from an awkward and uncomfortable size 16/18 to a healthy and confident size 10/12. I also knocked off 13 mins for my 5k parkrun time and now I have a personal best of 24:57. I cannot imagine having achieved these results without Adam’s skills, guidance, commitment and encouragement and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone ready to make the changes they need to see serious results.
